The Coastal Bend Child Development Center was founded with a heartfelt vision: to create a warm, inclusive, and nurturing sanctuary where young children can blossom. We believe in fostering holistic development, ensuring that every child is given the tools, love, and guidance they need to explore the world, build early academic foundations, and thrive in their own unique way.

Our Mission

The Coastal Bend Child Development Center’s specific mission is to:

• create a stimulating and nurturing environment where children of all abilities, regardless of socioeconomic or cultural background, can
  grow and learn together in acceptance of one another.
• provide high-quality education and care for young children.
• provide comprehensive family engagement opportunities.
• provide workforce opportunities for individuals who are seeking
  entry-level credentials in early childhood education.

Our Growth

Since opening our doors in October 2022, the Coastal Bend Child Development Center has been deeply committed to raising the bar for early childhood education. Our dedication to quality was first recognized in September 2024, when we proudly earned our designation as a Texas Rising Star 3-Star Facility. Building on that momentum, we reached a spectacular new milestone in May 2026 by officially achieving NAEYC Accreditation—the gold standard for early childhood programs nationwide. This rapid progression reflects our team’s unwavering passion for providing an exceptional, nurturing, and high-quality environment where every child can thrive.

Future Plans

Looking ahead, we are thrilled to announce the next chapter of our growth! Coming in Fall 2026, the Coastal Bend Child Development Center will officially open a brand-new School-Age Annex to house and expand our thriving after-school program. This dedicated facility will allow us to move our older students into their own specialized environment, giving them the perfect space to unwind and grow after the school day ends. The new annex will focus on providing a safe, enriching after-school space that intentionally supports homework help and academic foundations, social-emotional well-being, and positive character building for school-age students.
